Join Vashti for a Purim Jamboree!
Celebrate Purim with your favourite Vashti writers and editors.

Vashti Media and D. Katz warmly invite you to join us for a celebration of PURIM at East London's famous (and very heimish) George Tavern on Sunday 16 March, 7pm-10:30pm.
Purim is a riotous carnival-like festival, so expect clowning, fish, Klezmer music, noise, shadow puppetry, and more hamantaschen than you can shake a stick at!
Tickets are £4 unwaged/low waged, £8 waged, and £10 on the door.
All proceeds from the night will go to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, a charity providing vital medical and humanitarian relief to children in Gaza.
The celebrated antipodean clown Mr. Levi Meltzer—a “technically sharp, incredibly engaging,” (The Student) “freakish” (Reviews Hub) multidisciplinary artist—will act as master of ceremonies, accompanied by puppeteer Mr. Sam Berlin from North London, who will be presenting a miniature Purim spiel in shadow form.
Also appearing are:
Zoe and Jack — Zoe and Jack are both goyish and Jewish. Zoe is from upstate New York, Jack is from Tulsa, Oklahoma. They currently run a melodrama improv/clown show called A NIGHT OF DRAMA in London and New York.
Tsvey Kipperim — a Klezmer duo tearing through the hits of all your favourite East European Shtetls of the 1850s.
Ella the Great “lights up the stage” (The Scotsman) as the enchanting Richard Melanin the Third.
And more!
Doors at 7, performances to commence at 7.45.
Jews, gentiles, and everybody in between are welcome! Costume/party dress encouraged; rattles will be provided! You won't want to miss it!
